I KNEW it would happen. Mentioned this to my boss sometime back. MTV for gamers.
Next spring, cable company Comcast will launch something called G4, a 24-hour TV network that provides news and information for the video-game set -- a sort of E! Entertainment Network for gamers.

Flash movies... wave of the future. The link is from Flash Bang!
Jedixus... cool tattoo! Though lasts only for three weeks.. thought it'd be for longer. Might try to get one. Thanks for the info! 3 Tap... you chance to have the ABBA logo on your arm!
Ok another off day but got work to do. For the Chestnuts site, and work. Also need to do my Xmas shopping. Haven't got anything for the SO yet, though I do have something in mind. Drop by the gym today as well, send out Xmas cards, get some stuff from IKEA, maybe set up the speakers outside properly. Not sure if I'll have time to see a DVD, probably Nurse Betty which I've got from Doug. Going to be a busy weekend ahead as well. SFC hasn't replied regarding the grant for my short film, which irks me, but not sure I can gather the momentum to do it. Sigh. Terrible to make excuses. In many ways my color analysis is right. Missed opportunities are creating tension in my life.
My colour profile: From... Colorgenics
You have always been on the move seeking affectionate, satisfying and harmonious relationships. Your ultimate goal has been the realisation of an intimate union in which there could be love, self-sacrifice and mutual trust. It has often been said that "True love is just around the corner"...and maybe... if you haven't found it as yet - you possibly soon will.

You are working extremely hard trying to improve your image. You need for those people in positions that matter to recognise your potential and to acknowledge you.

The way things are at this time it is necessary to "go slow". All the pleasures that you have anticipated should be left in abeyance until some future date...But all is not lost...You are able to derive and achieve considerable gratification to someone quite close to you...

You are feeling full of uncertainty and worrying over what you consider as missed opportunities. This is causing considerable stress and tension. You feel that there must be more to life than the constant pressures and anxieties... You feel that surely life must hold far more opportunities than that which it has to date been presented to you. You sincerely believe that there must be a simpler way to tap life's hidden recourses and should you be able to find that way ... you could achieve your hearts desire ... It's the not knowing "how" that is affording you the constant worry. You are constantly probing and seeking - trying to ensure that at all times you are on your guardagainst missing any opportunity. "Enough is enough" You are anxious to avoid further setbacks. You are strenuously trying to make sure that you will not be overlooked and you badly need security.

You have so many ideas that you would like to revitalise but you need to realise a stable and peaceful condition to do so. Once you can free yourself from all the aggravation and tension around you, you will make strides that may amaze you. You will not be prevented from achieving all the things you so desire..

Well the doc says I had conjucvitis and gave me... 2 days MC. Looks like a long weekend for me. Still it itches like mad, and highly irritating especially in bright light. I hope it gets better soon.
Woke up and found my eyes keep on tearing. Sigh think might skip work or something again. Hate IT!

Just browsed through the Moulin Rouge DVD. The extras are quite fascinating, such as a multi-cam view of three of the dances from the film. I'm not so crazy about the can can sequence, though I can't question it's in your face. Much of the movie has a childish feel, employing pratfalls and other cartoonish sounds, with Luhrmann piling on image after image almost afraid to let the viewer pull their eyes away for one second. It's a bold film, but not one I would consider the best of the year as some other critics have done.
Whole office feels lethargic. Even the Internet connection is slow. Think I might be coming down with flu or something which would be cool. Extra day to stay home and tidy up some stuff. Great work ethic huh? Three day weekend next week as well.

Meeting someone in Hougang to buy the R4 edition of Moulin Rouge. I wasn't crazy about the movie but the DVD is loaded. Way cooool.

If ah Ros is reading this, Hi Ros. ;) When you releasing your Hindi covers? ;)
Well actually it DIDN'T go into my passbook yesterday. Sheeeeesh. I figure there are going to be a LOT of really unhappy people in the office today.

Finally AWS gets paid out today! Woohoo!
Robert Fisk of the Independent gets beaten up. Interesting article.
Sold like two CDs last night. We managed to sell off a bunch of Streps that we got for free though. Quite a fun experience. You're probably better off selling stuff to cash converters or 2nd hand bookshops, rather than a flea market. Met mom, bro and sis-in-law for dinner and had Katong Laksa. Mom also bought my 2nd bro's speakers and CD player so will have to spend weekend setting it up. And of course... DVDs! Akira, Chicken Run, A Bug's Life and Toy Story. I watched AKIRA last night and was blown away by the animation but hated the voiceovers they employed. Sounded really childish and uninvolved with the film. Matthew also passed me some of the durians that were stinking up the kitchen. Urgh... feel well-fed.
