The New York Times Magazine does a series on ideas. Totally cool.
Hectic day today. Selling stuff at Holland V flea market; probably CDs and some books, then meeting mom later in the evening. Want to have a swim in the morning too.

Odd bits:
Q: How do I get rid of a double chin?
A: Try this exercise: Tilt your head back and open your mouth as though you were biting into an apple. Do this exercise 10-15 times everyday and you should notice that your chin and neck will firm up.

A: An old modeling trick--extend your tongue to the tip of your nose. If you can't get there, go as far as you can. Repeat. And again. 30 or so a set and you'll be in good shape.
How many tests are there out there???

If I were a work of art, I would be Vincent Van Gogh's The Starry Night.

I am a tiny village at peace while overhead rages the tumult of the heavens. Objects whirl and flash around me in a fevered haze only partially reflected in reality while I remain grounded and secure in my isolation.

Which work of art would you be? The Art Test

Lazy, lazy friday. Can't wait for it to be 6. Rushing around; won tickets to Fatboy Slim but selling them off. Also reblogger doesn't work and blogback not accepting new applications. Ah well..
Had an odd time at the short film fest where I was volunteering again, which I figure I'm too old for. Met a 'friend' from film festival who was laid off from Discovery recently, I mean, that's no big deal. I sat down with her next to some other guys, since it's been years since we met. Then she promptly goes off to sit with some other people, leaving me with some people I don't really know. Boy that was AWKWARD. Made me feel really small, and guess one knows where one's friends are.

Did watch some of the short films. Roystone's film Mother was interesting but had too much VO and told rather than showed. Meant to be very touching but found it over bearing. There was an excellent documentary on street children in Russia, and the best piece was an American short called 'My Chorus', about this guy who has a barbershop quarter follow him around whenever he goes, punctuating his life. Clever and pretty funny.

Latest DVD acquisition:
Well Channel U's latest hire; the lady with big boobies that appeared on SNAP. Am I glad I work at such a classy organization...

And oh yeah 'Ample' Ann's advice for breast enhancing?

Poh does 15 minutes of hula-hooping and 30 sit-ups a day. As for other tips to enhance bust-size, she recommends that under-endowed women 'drink more milk, eat more chicken breasts and massage yourself more when showering'.

There you have it.

After the retrenchments one of the stupid jobs I have to do is call prizewinners up. It's one job I definitely don't want to do again and will pass to marketing. Big waste of time.
I hope this guy completes his project one day. Rustboy. Looking great so far.
SO got confirmed yesterday so got her some flowers to be delivered today. Hope she's surprised. Florist called and said the Lilies I ordered were fresh so unopened, and I said it was ok. Wanted to wait until she had her room done up but guess now's a good a time as any other, and hopefully it'll quell the rumours about her and the photographer running around in the office. (When women work together, you can expect that gossip will fly around like pies at a clown convention.)
Man my photos need tidying up. Have tons still not yet placed in albums... possibly this weekend...

Watching Chestnuts on the 21st of this month. Apparently they're having problems selling tickets for the shows this weekend. It's the PG run, as compared to the R(A) run which is later in the month. No surprise.
Ginger is upon us. I want one right now!
December is a slow month. Applied for leave from 26th to 31st which would clear the rest of my leave and bringing over 9.5 for the new year. Wonder if I should take the 24th off and so get ten days off, but it's probably not worth it since 24th is a half day and not much work will get done anyhow.

Moved my computer over to the central area. I have two cubicles AND computers to myself, which is good. Since MW probably won't be hiring soon, looks like I should have the other comp for a while. Helps me when I'm doing Photoshop related work.
Quiet Sunday but got caught in the rain. Majorly wet. Shifting my desk to sit with the other new media group. No more television and ESPN in front of me. At least it's a good farewell. San Francisco 49ers killing the Bills.
